Wizard of Oz (after Denslow)

I've recently decided to do my own take on the Wizard of Oz story by Frank L. Baum and W.W. Denslow. I've decided to follow the original layout of the characters in the drawing plates but went on my own with the character and color styling..this guy here with a hat is on of the 6 characters in the 3rd plate in the original edition. Since i use AI and PS on this one...i decided to draw each character separately and just place em all together in the bg.

Wizard of Oz (after W.W. Denslow) WIP: UPDATED

 

A WIP..taken from one of the Wizard of Oz plates..the layout is from the original artist W. W. Denslow..the only thing lacking here is Toto, Dorothy's dog..will be colored soon.

 This is what i decided on..well it's just one variant..im doing a much cleaner version later..i really like the grunge dirty look..i can't help it.
